Your donations enable us to procure culturally relevant food items for our food pantry, facilitating access to nutritious meals for those in need. Additionally, your support helps us offer essential health and wellness programming, education, and emergency assistance to our communities.

Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of our organization. Become part of our community and make a positive change in the lives of the local Latinx community. We also welcome community service hours. Note: an adult must accompany youth under 18.

Financial Donation

Here is additional information on APOYO’s five different funds.

  • APOYO Soccer League—Support our mission to provide accessible recreational sports to adults in Ellensburg by sponsoring our league starting at $250+, preparing players for a successful season.
  • APOYO’s Work—Fund APOYO’s mission is to empower our communities by providing vital resources, advocacy, education, and community-building opportunities.
  • Community Center Fund—Help us fund a gathering place for the Latinx community and others in Kittitas County, securing our essential services and programs.
  • Community Relief Fund—Raise funding with other community members to support those in emergency cases. This fund pays for bus tickets, shelter, and other fees.
  • Youth Empowerment Program—our program is committed to engaging, educating, and empowering Latinx youth to develop their leadership skills. Please consider donating to support our youth activities.

Food Donation

Around the world, the supply of healthy food is diminishing. Why? Factors from climate change (drought and flooding, for example) to disease, war, and supply chain disruptions have had a cumulative impact on global food supply. APOYO’s food suppliers are impacted by these problems, too. While we receive funding to buy food, we also want to help build a local food security network.

Here are some ways you can help:

  • Hook us up with local farmers and food producers so we can keep our purchases local.
  • If you have a garden, donate a surplus we can offer at our food pantry or even cultivate food donations. For more on this, see our Food and Nutrition page.
  • Have other ideas about working with APOYO to help build local food security? We want to know about them!

Clothing Donation

Our Community Closet is open twice a week, providing community members with free access to clothing essentials. It is open Wednesdays (4-6 p.m.) and Saturdays (12-2 p.m.), depending on volunteer availability.

Do you have items to donate? Drop-offs are welcome at APOYO from Wednesday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please donate items in good and clean condition.

Only seasonal donations are accepted:

  • Fall and Winter – coats, sweaters, boots, hats, gloves, and socks.
  • Spring and Summer – shirts, pants, shorts, sandals, and backpacks.
