The Organizing Committee guides APOYO’s Youth Empowerment program, which was established by the Inatai Foundation’s Emerging Opportunities fund.
The Committee comprises active community members who wish to leave an impact, student leaders who aim to engage in their communities, and faculty seeking to empower youth beyond the classroom.

Please review the four steps below to join the Youth Empowerment Organizing Committee.

1. Program Proposal
Please review the initial proposal submitted when APOYO applied for funding in 2024. This proposal provided guidance on the program’s structure.
2. Responsibilities Form
Serving on the Committee is a volunteer role within APOYO. Members are expected to reserve at least 4 hours/month during the Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters. The Committee meets every Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
High school or college students who become members of the Committee are eligible to receive a quarterly stipend with active service to the Committee at the discretion of the Committee and Youth Empowerment Director.
