At APOYO, we believe that everyone should have access to healthy food. The Washington State Department of Agriculture, supported by the federal government, has provided funding for APOYO to purchase tons of fresh, culturally-relevant food. Due to drastic cuts to government funding for food assistance, APOYO now has less capacity to buy nutritious food.
What can you do?
Volunteer to help APOYO glean fruit and vegetables when opportunities arise. We’ll call you and send you where the donations are ready to harvest!
Volunteer in APOYO’s community garden.
Have your own garden? APOYO is happy to have your surplus.
