APOYO is dedicated to improving the health and wellness of Latino communities. Since 2020, we have offered Covid-19 education, vaccine clinics and health screenings, the Amigos Atléticos after-school youth sports program, the Amigas en Acción women’s exercise club, and the co-ed APOYO Soccer League. Together, we are making a positive impact on our community’s well-being.
The Kittitas County Public Health Department, the City of Ellensburg, the Yakima Valley Community Foundation, and sponsors and donors have made this possible.
Vaccine Clinics and Health Screenings

APOYO Soccer League
Established in 2024, APOYO’s co-ed adult Soccer League plays in spring in Ellensburg.
Amigos Atléticos
During the 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25 school years, APOYO’s free, bilingual, after-school sports program for kids in grades 3-10 gave them opportunities to play, exercise, and learn about health and wellness under the guidance of young adult mentors.
Amigas en Acción
In 2023 and 2024, APOYO’s free women’s fitness club brought people together to exercise, learn about health and wellness, and make new connections with community members.
